Installation of approximately 620m 180OD PE100 SDR11 watermain on Middleton Road including installing 8m of steel casing under the Middleton Road bridge to hold PE pipe. Installation of approximately 80m 63OD PE100 SDR11 on Onslow Road. Installation of approximately 940m 200mm dia. DI watermain on Pembroke Road including installation of approximately 230m of ridermains. Replacement of all associated hydrants, valves, and reconnecting private laterals.

With this project we successfully installed three new watermains in streets across Wellington City, tackling some tricky challenges like working in areas that involved turning off pump stations, affecting water reservoirs during water shutdowns and a significant number of properties.
Our teams delivered every aspect of the work directly – planning, traffic management, civil installation and commissioning. We took the lead in overcoming challenges associated with complex shutdowns and, as it happens, inaccurate records by working closely with the asset owner and the consultant. We also worked closely with affected property owners, including installing private laterals, working up steep banks and in some cases managing slips and potential slips.
Trench on Onslow Road – The alignment was supposed to be in the footpath,
however due to it being congested with other services the new alignment was in the carriageway.
