Scope:

Installation of a 30m long 610OD steel casing under the rail corridor in Tawa.

We enjoyed working with the Wellington Pipelines & Multi Civil Teams in delivering this job, successfully completing a rail crossing without excavation or disruption to services.
One of the challenges was installing settlement monitoring points in the rail corridor. We worked with Kiwirail to establish a settlement monitoring regime and then successfully implemented that regime on site.
To trenchlessly install the steel casing under the rail corridor, we used the powerful Grundoram Koloss tool for maximum efficiency.
