We’ve been having fun on Featherston Street in Wellington's busy CBD where we are renewing the wastewater rising main with our friends at Stantec on behalf of Wellington Water.
After careful planning and some well executed preparation work, we slip lined 180m of existing 14” Cast Iron pipe with 315OD PE100-RC SDR17 pipe in just a handful of hours.
By renewing this main trenchlessly the project has reduced waste, minimised carbon emissions and kept the City moving. Once commissioned, the new main will enhance the resilience of the CBD’s wastewater network for the next 100 years.
