It is fantastic to have made the finals of the Civil Contractors New Zealand Construction Excellence Awards for our work on Taranaki St Rising Main Upgrade. A project that we constructed on behalf of Wellington Water and alongside GHD and on behalf of Wellington City Council.
The field looks really strong and we are looking forward to heading to Tauranga for the Awards Dinner on 25 July to catch up with some of the amazing contractors who entered for an award.
With this project we installed a new rising main along Taranaki St as part of a major programme of work to upgrade the city's wastewater network, increasing capacity, resilience and catering for our city's growth.
We delivered this ahead of schedule while minimising disruption to the busy central city through use of our guided augur bore. This trenchless tech also reduced the amount of waste to landfill and the project's carbon footprint.
